Laboratory Services

The Red Bud Regional Hospital laboratory is a full-service testing facility accredited by The Joint Commission that utilizes the American Red Cross for blood products. It is staffed by certified lab professionals, overseen by a licensed physician. 

We offer a range of inpatient and outpatient procedures including:

• Microbiology 
• Hematology 
• Chemistry 
• Coagulation 
• Blood bank 

The laboratory performs hundreds of tests daily and results are sent directly to your physician’s office. If you need lab services, simply bring a physician’s order (or your physician can fax the order) to the Outpatient Registration Department. Remember to check with your physician in advance regarding any special instructions, such as no eating after midnight prior to the test. 

Standard outpatient testing is offered Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 7:00 am – 11:00 am. 

If you have a standing lab order on file at Red Bud Regional Hospital, you qualify for the Fast Track. The Fast Track bypasses registration, so you skip the line and are served first. All patients who have a standing lab order are invited to use the Fast Track: Every Monday 6:00 am – 11:00 am (excluding holidays).
