Visitors
Come on in.
We believe that having loved ones nearby lifts spirits, brightens moods and improves healing. However, there are a few things to consider when coming by to say hello.
Visiting Policy Updated November 7, 2022
All visitors
- Masks are welcomed and recommended, but not required.
- Please do not visit an inpatient or nursing home resident if you are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and other COVID/flu-related illness.
- Upon entering our hospital, nursing home, or physician clinics, you may be screened for the symptoms listed above. This is a safety measure that helps keep our patients from being exposed to illness that could negatively affect their healing process.
- All visitors are encouraged to maintain six feet of distance, when possible.
- If patient safety is being compromised, the staff may end the visit at any time.
Emergency Department
The term “Person Under Investigation” (PUI) means that the patient is either showing symptoms of COVID-19 or requiring further testing to rule out COVID-19.
- Visitors will wait in the waiting room while the patient is triaged and seen by the ER physician. If the patient is age 17 or younger, one parent will remain with the patient.
- After the patient has had an exam and the physician determines that he/she is nota PUI, one visitor is allowed.
- One visitor is allowed to remain with a PUI if they live in the same household.
- One visitor is allowed to remain with a COVID positive patient if they live in the same household.
- If multiple visitors arrive with the patient, please appoint one person as the representative to receive the necessary communication from the ER staff. We will take every effort to communicate with you while we care for your loved one.
Med/Surg unit: visiting hours 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily
- We ask that no one under the age of 16 visit unless pre-approval is provided. This will be reviewed based on the patient’s request and the patient’s clinical situation.
- Visitors requesting to see a COVID-positive patient will require pre-approval to ensure all safety measures are in place. Please call ahead to (618) 282-5139 to request this visit.
