Sports Medicine

It’s back-to-school season! Get the kids’ sports physicals checked off the list at Red Bud Health Clinic’s Walk-In Clinic.

Almost every athlete’s season starts with the same thing – a sports physical. Every year, a sports physical is recommended and often required to ensure your child is safe to participate in the upcoming sports season.

How to Prepare & What to Expect

Obtain the school-specific sports forms, complete the parent portions, and sign the consent prior to walking in to be seen. This helps move you through the process faster.

The sports physical typically includes vitals, eye exam, medical history, and fitness check. It is recommended to have the parent or guardian attend the exam to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and on file. Bring any concerns and questions so they can be discussed during the visit.

Where to Go

If you are already a patient at Red Bud Health Clinic, you are encouraged to make an appointment with your primary care provider.

If you are not currently established with a primary care provider within Red Bud Health Clinic or you need to be seen sooner than an appointment allows, the Walk-In Clinic offers a convenient no-appointment option.

Every Monday, through the end of August, is dedicated to walk-in sports physicals. Just walk-in between 9:00 am and 6:30 pm! Visits are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
