Swing Bed Program
Swing Bed Program
If you experience a medical setback, such as prolonged weakness, heart attack, stroke, or major surgery, you may need short-term rehabilitation or additional medical care before returning home.
Red Bud Regional Hospital offers a program called Swing Bed, which allows patients to stay in the hospital for additional days or weeks while they continue their recovery.
For Patients Currently at Red Bud Regional Hospital
A dedicated team of licensed nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, a case manager, and a registered dietitian will work together to evaluate your needs and create a personalized treatment plan. This coordinated approach ensures you receive the focused support necessary for a safe, steady recovery.
For Patients Having Surgery or Receiving Care at Another Facility
Case Management can guide you through the process of returning to Red Bud Regional Hospital for Swing Bed services, even if you plan to have major surgery or receive your initial care elsewhere. The team can speak with you or your family, coordinate between both facilities, and verify your insurance benefits in advance. Returning closer to home can support healing and make it easier for your family to visit throughout your recovery.
